Sreedevi Gopalakrishna has been associated with Indus Schools for over ten years. An engineer by qualification and a software professional in her early career days, Sreedevi has served in the field of education for the last 15 years pursuing her call to transform education.
She holds a Montessori certification in Elementary and Secondary Education from the American Montessori Society, through The Princeton School. She also holds a Post-graduate Diploma in Education (International) from Birmingham City University, U.K. A teacherpreneur at heart, she has served at Indus in various capacities - as a PYP teacher, teacher-mentor, Associate Coordinator, and most recently as Curriculum Coordinator for all three Indus International schools. Her personal philosophy of empowering students to become self-directed learners stands in perfect alignment with the organization’s vision of creating lifelong learners.
Uma Ravitharan started her career in 2003 as a teacher and a counsellor and has worked with high school students from selective International Schools in Sri Lanka and India.
She holds an M.Phil. degree in English Literature and has also worked as a College Counsellor for IB students. She has held the position of Centre Supervisor for SAT and has received written commendations from universities in US for career guidance and support to senior students. She joined Indus in 2015 and has headed College Counselling in 2019. She became the Head of the Diploma Programme in 2020 and was promoted as Head of Senior School in 2021.
Neelu Saini has been associated with Indus for close to a decade having served in various capacities as a PYP teacher, MYP teacher and Associate MYP Coordinator.
She holds a double master's degrees in History and English Literature, along with a Bachelor's degree in Education. Having taught across curricula and grades for more than two decades, Neelu passionately believes in the vision and core values of the school. Her teaching philosophy focuses on a student centric approach to teaching and learning with an aim of encouraging students to become self-directed learners and empathetic individuals, who wish to make the world a better place. In 2016, she received the First NDTV Excellence Award in English Language Teaching for the South Zone.
Rachel has been a passionate educator for the past 24 years and has seen children grow, mature, and become agents of change within their communities.
Formerly a Chemistry teacher in a secondary school in Mumbai and Dubai, her passion lay with children of the primary years. As an IB educator at Indus International School, Bangalore for the past 14 years she has supported the PYP team to blend and weave together the integral elements of inquiry based learning focusing on concepts and skills. She now leads a team of teachers who significantly teach the child, and not the subject alone. It is her dream to build a community of change makers who aspire to bring about a transformation in the world around them. She works towards social upliftment as she works with less privileged children and transgender in her neighbourhood.
Mr. John Prem Rabindranath joined the Indus family with a core background in counselling, special educational needs and psychology, having graduated with a Masters in Psychology from Christ University, Bangalore.
He has completed five years of teaching in the Diploma Programme. After having been deeply involved in the community development initiatives at Indus as a CAS coordinator, he undertook the opportunity of being trained under the Principal and the CEO in the coveted role of a 'teacherpreneur'.His rich array of experiences, coupled with his core belief in student engagement, has helped him redefine the role of an administrator. He now leads a skilled team that endeavors to instil the school's vision and ethos in the community through innovation in administration.
