Indus Altum is a Cambridge Pathway School which offers all five Cambridge School programmes – Early Years, Primary, Lower Secondary, Upper Secondary and Advanced - to students ranging in age from 3 to 18. Indus Altum International School, Belagavi offers a holistic educational experience and academic excellence, encouraging students to become lifelong learners who seek experiential and transformative knowledge.

The Indus Altum International School in Belagavi offers five rigorous and high-quality academic programmes:

  • Early Years Program (EY 1 to EY3) (For age 3 years to 5 years old)
  • Primary Years Program (Grades 1 to 5) (For age 6 years to 10 years old)
  • Lower Secondary Program (Grades 6–8) (For age 11 years to 13 years old)
  • Cambridge Upper Secondary program (IGCSE) (For age 13 years to 15 years old)
  • Cambridge Advanced Program (Grade 11 and 12) (For age 16 years to 18 years)

Indus has an average class size of 22 to 25 students for all five programmes. We maintain a teacher- student ratio of 1:9.

Our students represent a wide range of cultures, faiths, and beliefs. Students with limited English language ability are helped through an ESL (English as second language) support programme that develops Academic English proficiency, allowing ESL students to be integrated into the mainstream curriculum. All our English as a Second Language instructors are also language instructors. They work together to help our students gain confidence in their English speaking and writing skills, which is the school’s First language & the language of instruction.

Indus Altum International School, Belagavi takes pride in being an inclusive school. We work hard to meet the varied needs of students by ensuring that everyone has equal access to quality education. Depending on the severity of the learning issue, students with special needs are supported through remediation, accommodation, and some exemptions, particularly during examinations. The Special Educational Needs team is dedicated to bringing out the best in each child as we believe that all children can learn and progress.

Applying to schools and universities is an exciting and enlightening process that allows the child to examine who they are, what they value, and what they might want to accomplish with their life. At Indus Altum, we have a dedicated team of counsellors who assist our students with placement and college counselling services.

Indus Altum counsellors assist students and parents in researching schools, making decisions, selecting, and visiting institutions, and completing applications. Our counselling department provides comprehensive guidance and support to students throughout their application process.

We have a well-thought-out bridge programme that helps to identify learning gaps for students who are switching boards and moving from other curricula to Cambridge International Curriculum.

At Indus Altum, the safety of students is of paramount importance which is achieved through the combination of the following measures:

More than 130 cameras are used to monitor the entire campus.

  • Registration at the Security Main Gate is essential for restricted entry.

Our students spend their days in a safe and secure atmosphere with designated places for various learning activities. The 17-acre green campus has everything needed to support an internationally designed learning and leadership curriculum. To promote overall growth, the school property has smart classrooms, activity rooms, a fitness centre, art and music studios, libraries, large playing and sporting fields, extensive gardens, playgrounds, and a swimming pool. Dedicated Sports coaches in all major sports are trained with the most up-to-date training equipment and methodologies.

For day Scholars, we provide a hot breakfast and lunch, as well as two snacks, while for Boarders, we provide all meals, including dinner.

Indus Altum provides a school bus facility covering almost all parts of Belagavi with designated pick up & drop points. We have our own fleet of 8 air-conditioned buses. Equipped with GPS and seatbelts, all the buses have a Female Safety warden to manage the safety of each child.

Sibling discount is applicable over all grades; and for both new and existing students. In case of one of the two siblings being a continuing student and the other sibling being a new student, then the older sibling is eligible for a sibling rebate of INR 25,000/- for the academic year in which the new sibling joins school.

We have 2 Terms in an academic year. 1st term is June – October and 2nd term is October to April.

9.00 am to 3:30 pm for all Grades. Buses arrive at school by 8:30 AM to ensure students have breakfast before they begin their day.

We have formal and sports uniforms which are provided by the school and costs are included in the Annual fee.
